almost forgot to update today! this weekend was a lot of fun...went to a halloween party on saturday...so many crazy costumes! a couple of people liked the "jackie in high school" look...especially a guy who was dressed as gene simmons from kiss... :) but it was fun...i also watched "freddy got fingered" and "swordfish" on sunday...i am not a huge tom green fan, so freddy got fingered wasn't that great...but i liked swordfish...in other news...vince is staying with us for a week...or at least til thursday...so if you see a rockin guy on the camera...that's vinnie rockin rabaut for ya :)

adam clark is visiting this weekend! his old roommate, andy elms, is getting married to his girlfriend of six (maybe more) years...anyway, he will be in town, so i am looking forward to spending time with him...my sister is also having a party on saturday...i am excited to be going as "jackie" :) still haven't found a black wig...but i am still looking :) this is gonna be a fun weekend :)

i took a nap yesterday during lunch...so that made me able to stay awake to go out with laura, keith, alex, and zophie...we went to the new club that opened in lansing the temple club, but i didn't really like it. it was like it was just one big room...which wasn't very big...and the service at the bar sucked. it kind of reminded me of spiral, without the atmosphere spiral had...anyway, it was alright, but definately not my favorite place to go...about my half sister...i have put my info everywhere, but then it dawned on me...what if she doesn't know she is adopted? or worse yet, what if she knows, and doesn't want us to find her? it would break my mom's heart...and i don't know if i could do that...i guess i will just have to keep trying...and see what happens...i could find her, and then tell my mom based on her reaction...who knows...i think i am a better candidate for the first initial contact than my mom...kind of a buffer in case things go bad...anyway, no luck yet as to finding info..so we'll see what i can dig up after a few phone calls :)

so here's an interesting fact i bet you didn't know about me. i have a half sister. however, i have never met her. she is 8 years older than me, and my mom gave her up for adoption when she was 23. this past week, i decided i would help my mom try and find her, so i started searching the internet like crazy. i put our information everywhere, in case my sister is looking for us. want to help us find her? this is all i know about her: born november 20, 1970 (her birthday is the day after mine!) at Providence Hospital in Southfield. she was adopted through social services in Detroit. yeah, not a whole lot of information. my mom would love to find her...i can't imagine what she must be feeling knowing her daughter is out there somewhere...

so we decided on a halloween costume last night..i am going as jackie in high school...i am wearing black lipstick...her dog collar...her spiked wristbands...fishnets...black eye makeup...and all black clothes...man that's gonna be funny....i am thinking about getting a long black haired wig...we'll see what i can find :) how fun is that?

this weekend was pretty fun...i spent friday night with laura and noelle...ah, how i missed that :) then on saturday, i bummed around the house, and then hung out with my sister that night...and on sunday, i got to go to saginaw with john...it was his sister's and his birthday recently, so we (his sister, her husband, me, john, and his parents) went out to celebrate. then we came back and played cards...his family ripped on me when i made a ridiculous mistake not once, but twice during the game...oops...:) but it was pretty fun...plus i got to see where he grew up...his cat 'rook' rules :) so it was a good weekend...mia and bailey seem to be doing better...although mia doesn't come out when you come home like bailey does...maybe she will when she gets used to the place...bailey is trying to be friendly, but mia just hisses at him when he gets too close...although now she is starting to tolerate him getting closer and closer... :)

there she is...bailey's new friend :) she's adorable...although not too fond of bailey yet...but even after a day, she has started to tolerate him, so i have a feeling it will just take time, and pretty soon they will be running down the halls after one another :) for now, she is housed in jackie's room...i hope it doesn't distract jackie too much :)

apparently, i'm evil. and the worst owner ever. i should have done way more research on declawing before i had bailey's poor little paws done...i didn't know what they actually did...they actually remove part of the bone...and the cat is in a lot of pain...then it says the cat will bite more, and be more clumsy because it lost the entire first part of their digit...i have seen both in bailey..he bites A LOT more now...and falls off window ledges all the time...:( what have i done? poor little guy...i refuse to do it again...i don't get it...my parent's cats didn't have a rough time with it at all...however, we got them declawed when they were really young...and mia is the perfect age to do it with minimal complications...i don't think i can bring myself to do it again though...i feel horrible enough about poor bailey...*sigh*...

ok, for the record...i don't like to be referred to as my cat's "mom". they aren't my babies. my cats are my buddies...pals...compadres...but not my kids. some people like to have that kind of relationship, where they treat their animals like they are their children...and that's fine...i don't have a problem with it for other people...i just don't like it for me. Bailey and Mia are my friends...furry friends :)

it's final. i went yesterday and filled out all the stuff...and tomorrow i bring home Mia. that's what jackie and i decided her name should be. hopefully bailey and mia get along...i am still debating whether or not to get her claws out...she is young enough where she won't have the same problems bailey did...but it still sucks...i went and saw high divide play on tuesday...as creed says, they were a "little rough" but i thought they sounded fine. he says they sucked...i agreed they weren't as good as hot shots (where i saw them last)...but i don't think they sucked in the slightest...but what do i know? i took some pictures with my digital camera...i will have to post them when i get the time...i still owe sween some wedding and bachlorette pictures from this summer...so i guess don't expect them anytime soon...work has been going crazy...so it's time to get down to business...bleh...

new kitty coming in a couple of days! at first, i posted an ad on petfinder.com saying i was looking for a companion for Bailey..and a woman called me saying she had the perfect kitty for me...so we drove out to grand rapids to see him...and he was really sweet...but she kept trying to get me to take the other cat too...and although he was sweet...he wasn't the cutest cat in the world...so then we didn't hear from her, and i decided i would go take a look at the humane society...oh yeah! found the perfect one! the people at the H.S. said males cats would get along better with female cats...and then i saw Miss Grey! she is the sweetest ever...so tonight i am going to fill out the paperwork to get her...she's only 5 months...and loves cats and dogs...so i am sure Bailey won't have a problem :) i can't wait...now i just have to call the lady back and tell her we won't be taking her cat...that's a sad thing to have to do..but oh well...Bailey gets a friend!

anthrax. yeah. am i worried? no. i honestly don't think it is a terrorist attack. i think someone is taking advantage of the terror threats, and doing it on their own. we have some sick people in the U.S...and i think someone is just using the recent terror attacks as a way to shift the blame on the people everyone hates anyway. i think that if the terrorists wanted to use biological warfare, they would have launched the virus in a way that is not as easily controlled as it is right now. only one person has died. one. not the thousands that they killed with the crashes...yeah...i am not ready to pin it on terrorism yet...at least, not the same kind as the WTC crashes. does anyone have any clue what we are to expect within the next couple of weeks? me neither. *sigh*

my boss just asked me an interesting question...do i do work on the side? the answer is a resounding YES! if anyone needs web graphics or programming help, i work for $20/hour. to give you an idea of how much that is, i can usually get a two page website with layout, graphics and programming done in about an hour. so that's a pretty good deal. considering i think i am hired out at for three times that much through work. so email me and tell me what you need and i will send you back a price. :)

woohoo! this weekend was awesome! the party on friday rocked :) we had way more people than we expected...which worked out well...we had jungle juice for everyone...and that stuff was strong! plus jello shots that everyone complained were ridiculously strong...jackie had such a good time she was sick til the next day :) good birthday for her! even laura wound up coming over...that made me pretty happy...even though marc was there, she actually came over...what a good friend :) for a little while, i was upset because creed planned on leaving with his friends, but then after complaining about it, voila! he was back! that made my night :) plus corinne and noelle came up for it...have i mentioned how fun it was? :) then on saturday, i went out to the bar with keith, laura, vince, and zophie...we had a good ole time playing darts...vince is so good, laura and i had to team up on him...but it was a good thing after five of my darts hit the wall no where near the freakin board :) i spent all yesterday just recuperating...and then went and hung out with creed and friends on sunday night...high divide is playing at mac's this tuesday at 9pm...i plan on heading down there...donny was over last night, and i hope to god he does his moonwalk...i have to make sure i bring my camera this time...big news tonight though! i am heading up to grand rapids to visit a kitty for bailey! well, not specifically for him...but rather so he has a friend to keep him company during the day when no one is home...it's supposedly an all white kitty with green eyes, and who loves cats, dogs, and little kids. the owner says her youngest carries him around like a sack of potatoes and puts party hats on him :) oh man, think of the pictures! so i'm driving up there tonight, and if i like him, i get to bring him home! i can't wait :) alright, enough about this weekend...back to work i go!

the speakers are being delivered today! for $80, i got a pair of normally $180 dollar wireless speakers from ebay. they are pretty good quality..and we'll see if they work ok once they get here...i am pretty excited about it though :) last night after class, i went to meijers to get stuff for the party tonight...we have a ton of jello shots...plus two half gallons of vodka...we couldn't find a big enough punch bowl...so we got a big halloween cauldron instead...it looks awesome :) tonight is gonna rock...i can't wait...

well, laura finally spoke to me yesterday. actually, she wrote me an email. so enough with the fighting, finally. i'm really excited about the party tomorrow..both corinne and noelle said they were going to show up...plus creed, dave, andrew, marc, vinnie...oh man it's gonna be fun :) i really hope the guy from ebay writes me back...he had promised to overnight the speakers to me if i overnighted him the check...so we'll see if i actually get them today or not...i am really REALLY hoping he does...if not, we'll have to think of another plan...vinnie is coming over today with his mom...and staying at our house til saturday...then i might get to drive him home...i haven't visited my house in detroit in a while, so i might go home sunday for dinner...and then drive back...who knows...that's a lot of driving...so we'll see...alright, back to crazy work :)

foolish games never sounded so good. jewel rocks :) last night, we (jackie, matt, and i) had a good ole time...we went out to dinner at the stillwater grill...hell yeah, that was good stuff...and then we went bowling...it was hilarious...but then i stayed up too late, and i forgot to take my car in this morning for the recall...something about the windshield wipers...anyway, i am super excited about this friday...it is going to be so fun :) now is the time though, to get work done...i have so much to do!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!! she's the ripe old age of 20...as if that could ever be considered old...yeah right! I hope you are having a good day, jac, and i have your presents in the car :) this day is just starting off great...i got an email from my prof...seems like i will be getting a 4.0 for one of my tc classes that i had an incomplete from the summer...woohoo! that was a 4 credit class...and will definately help me out in the gpa department... :) now if i can finish my project for the other class...i just might be able to swing a 4.0 in that one as well...go me!

donate to the wireless speakers fund! :) jackie and i discovered that it might be fun to have wireless speakers for the computer, due to our lack of a stereo in the living room...therefore, if we had those speakers, we could move them around the apartment, and listen to mp3's or cd's...only one problem: they are $180 dollars. I am thinking hard about it though...this party on friday is gonna be tough without a form of music in the living room...both computers are in our bedrooms...and they would be sooooo perfect...*sigh*...help make this party a success!! :) j/k...i would feel retarded accepting money from people for that...we'll just have to improvise...hmmm....computer in the kitchen??

this weekend was so fun! on friday, noelle called me, and i was really glad to hear from her...i haven't gotten to hang out in quite a while, so though i was on my way out, i at least finally got a hold of her :) i had promised friends at work that i would meet them down for octoberfest in lansing, so i was going to call her when i got back...but after i got down there, i was having such a good time, i never got back home :) the bands sucked, but ray, todd, and creed were cracking me up...it was a good ole time :) then my parents came down saturday around 1pm...and my mom made dinner in my kitchen before we went to the Cold War game...now that was a good time! we (MSU) broke the world record for attendance at a hockey game...over 74,000 people were there...they had crazy effects and a laser light show...plus we ended up tying (not losing) with michigan 3-3...it was my family and creed...and we all had a blast...then my parents stayed the night, and on sunday we went desk shopping, since my dad threw out my old desk drawer on accident...i got a pretty cheap one, but it's super nice! i love it! then corinne got a hold of me, and we went out to dinner after my parents took off...man, it was so good to talk with her. lately, i feel like i am living in two different worlds...the full time, work mode in downtown, and the college, fun time at home...so talking to her made me feel a whole lot better...she knows exactly what i am going through, working the 9-5 jobs mon-fri...and feeling exhausted when you get home...and being able to party just on the weekends...yep, we are actually living like adults...go figure :) then there's the laura situation. yeah. so apparently, we are in a fight. though i still have no idea why. no calls, no emails...only a random message on my phone this morning asking if i was going into work...my phone died this weekend, and i didn't get it until i was at work...but whatever. i still don't know what i could possibly have done to deserve this ridiculous behavior...but laura...if this is how much my friendship meant to you, then forget it. i don't deserve this. she sent me a message this morning saying due to the fact that marc would be attending, she wouldn't be coming to jackie's party this friday. that's mature. it's for jackie that we are throwing this party. heaven forbid you should actually stop by and say at least a "happy birthday" cause you're her friend. right. but whatever. do what you want. we'll have a an awesome time, and she'll miss out. her loss. back to work..it's been crazy busy around here...and i have a deadline :)

man, this smile is just not going away :) not only did i have a fun dance class..but i got to hang out with creed for a couple hours at the spartan sports den (bar down the street)...can't help it...it made me pretty happy :) thanks for the drinks creed...you rock, and you're the best. :) now i just have to go remove all of those things i said about you in the thought archives...oops...never thought you would actually read this ;)

on fark today (yeah, i'm bored at work) this article tells how a woman dressed in islamic garb to see if people really were reacting to the sept 11 event to anyone they thought were connected...and sure enough...on top of getting stares and remarks, a guy pushed her into traffic...isn't that scary? i know some people close to me who are very prejudiced against "a-rabs", "towelheads", etc...and it makes me so sad. why waste time hating someone so much, who clearly had nothing to do with terrorism? how would you feel if someone judged you like that, because of something someone who looked like you did. we are all people...and i hate people on an individual basis, if they do something that i don't like. and even that's a rarity. :(

wow. i have decided the place i want to visit is Bora Bora. it's breathtaking. it would be the perfect romantic place to go. for those of you that don't know, Bora Bora is an island in Tahiti...or French Polynesia...whatever you want to call it...if i had to plan a honeymoon trip...that would be the place...you can get a room over the water...and go scuba diving...beautiful...:)

hello to all of you that work at IBM in rochester, minnesota! well, all of you that work at IBM, actually (sorry matt) :) last night i went and saw zoolander with creed...it was a good movie :) i laughed a bunch...and he's right, it would be super funny stoned...but was still funny just going to see it...there were a million different celebrities in it...david bowie, winona ryder, wil farrell, jerry stiller, lance bass from nsync, milla jovovich, david duchovny, andy dick, fabio, cuba gooding jr., lenny kravitz, natalie portman, vince vaughn, a crazy amount of people...anyway, i recommend it :) creed's birthday present "boogeymen" came in today...hopefully i will get to watch it sometime soon...it is supposed to be pretty good :) alrighty...work is calling...lunch is over!
