matt...i feel your pain about the glasses ...i didn't need them until college. i started noticing things were a little fuzzy from the back row...and it got to the point where i couldn't read stuff on the board unless i was in the first row. so i went to the eye doctor...and man! now things are soooo much better! it makes driving at night a hell of a lot easier :) good news for everyone else :)

getting to work this morning was hell. i had to drive through two parking lots that weren't plowed...and got stuck a couple of times. luckily, there were people around to help push me out...thank god for helpful people. seriously, people can be so cool. there were these two guys in the parking lot...i think one of them actually lives across the hall from me...and they were just standing outside waiting to help those that needed it. willing to stand out in the cold and snow to push retarded people like myself who didn't take the day off and needed to go to work. i hope i run into them again so i can thank them :) i hope i don't get stranded on my way home...i forgot my phone in my apartment...doh!

*whew* i worked out again tonight! woohoo! two nights in a row...if i can make it a week...i might treat myself to some shopping...or a new movie...something other than food...this workout place kind of sucked though...the program they have me on is pretty wimpy...i'll just have to work extra hard on the other program...i have decided to make a site for my results...that would keep me motivated, i think :) pictures might also help...need some good ones up there to remind me of how not in shape i am...ew.

so i am starting to work out this week...my roommate and i have decided to start training for the race for the cure which is a run in detroit for breast cancer. we did it last year, and it was super fun. we ran the 5k in 45 minutes...i know, it's a sad time, but we ran the whole way, after only a week of training. well now we are starting in january, so by april, we should be in better shape to beat last year's time. that, and it's about time i started to work out. i have no muscle what so ever. talk to me in about four months, and we'll see what happens :)

i had read that story before..about those guys that will stalk women for you...i showed it to my roommate and she didn't like it either...scary stuff...
this weekend was pretty fun...didn't do anything too exciting...but it was fun all the same...we had more people over for friday and saturday night..played some games...drank some mudslides and shmirnoff's....good times :) got the apartment pretty messy, but we cleaned most of it already...didn't get too out of hand :) i am looking over my finances and trying to figure out how the hell i could plan a trip for spring break to florida and still afford it...isn't looking too bright as of right now...i might have to cancel...but we'll see...we'll see..

those were hilarious links, matt :) i loved the ones from the emotion kid...they were hilarious :) last night was a good ole time at the apartment...mexican food is always good. i was pretty proud...i helped make the tacos and they turned out ok! first meal where i didn't create a disaster :) plus we have food left over...mmmm...leftovers :)

man, the people i link to keep dropping like flies! first it was jansson of oddd.org...then it was marissa from 1atom12.com...then steph from dissolver.org let her registration on her domain run out...then renee from mija.nu switched to agali.net...now mindy from 5ilver.net took her site down. maybe i am cursed or something...i've had a site since 1996...thanks to my friend that i met at orientation...then i registered my domains in 1998 and have had it here since then. it helped that the domain is just a placeholder and then forwards to wherever i happen to be hosting it...otherwise it would switch all the time...anyway, i still think i am cursed...i wouldn't blame you if you told me to take down a link to your site...

hey now...talking about windows is important! my roommate has been freezing her booty off in her room when the wind blows...that and the cats hide whenever a strong breeze comes through and rattles the windows... :) more exciting though, we are having 'mexican night' tonight and are making tacos, enchiladas, margueritas, and even fried ice cream. sounds like a lot, but everything is pretty simple...we spent way too much money on it, though...and my roommate and i are going to be starving for the next month...but it's worth it..i think :)

new windows! we are getting new windows today from our landlords...they are redoing the entire building...so it might not happen today, but sometime soon...but just in case, i locked bailey and mia up in my room to keep them out of the way...poor kitties...i felt so bad locking them up and shutting the door really fast so that they wouldn't run out...but after 6 they have free roam of the apartment...so i guess that's not too bad...8 out of 24 hours of the day...anyway, new windows will be super nice...our old ones rattled with every breeze, and you could feel the wind in the apartment...so new ones will rock...awww yeah :)

i want to see the movie "Tap". I saw the very beginning of it this morning on Cinemax...but I was running late, so I couldn't watch more than 10 minutes...I saw the list of actors...I didn't realize how many famous dancers were in it...of course Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr....but Savion Glover, Bunny Briggs, and a whole lot more...for as much as I like tap dancing, I can't believe I haven't seen this one...

this weekend was pretty eventful...friday's christmas party was fun...although, i got so drunk that i only remember half of the evening. not good. i don't drink until i get sick..i drink too much that i start to forget events and things that i said. doh. need to work on that, i'm afraid. i don't think i said anything too crazy...mostly just told jackie not to clean up a mess that she made (i don't know why) and mumble some incoherent things on the couch. but by that time, most of the people from work had left...whew :) then saturday was danielle's roommate lynn's birthday..the big 21, so i went out with them to leo's lodge in lansing...lynn's boyfriend wanted to watch the game there. it wasn't the greatest bar to go to on your 21st, but the waitress was really cool and suggested a lot of fun shots, so i think it was ok...i am gonna have to go out with those two again...danielle and lynn cracked me up :) they liked the "buttery nipple" shots that i suggested...and the "red headed slut" shots that the waitress mentioned. then lynn got super excited when her strawberry daquiri came back and was decorated really nice...it was hilarious. anyway, now it's back to work...i wish we had today off for mlk day...but i would feel bad for not doing anything other than sitting around my apartment...*sigh*...need more caffine...

at least i'm awake today...i fell asleep before ten last night...woohoo, i rock :) i was exhausted...but my cold is almost gone, and tonight is the fun christmas party. i made the jello shots last night...wasn't hard...i just hope they don't taste bad...we'll see...i should have gotten flavored vodka to put in it, but instead i used cheap mohawk... :) tomorrow is lynn's (danielle's roommate's) birthday...and she is 21! so i plan on havin a good ole time on saturday night to celebrate...it will be the first time my sister and i can go to an actual bar together...look out!

well, i am proud to say a site that i built from the ground up went live today. www.shrr.com is a website for a law firm in grand rapids. it's even better if you are the admin. i built a feature for them to edit all of the content for their pages, without knowing any html. basically, they just fill out forms, and i display the information...of course, this is work i did for crt.net, so if you want something like this: hire us :)

went shopping tonight ...got the supplies to make some tacos and to make jello shots for our work party...how fun is that? not many places that you work at would tell you to bring the jello shots to the christmas party...but it's the "unofficial" crt christmas party...it's still gonna be fun :) snowed like crazy tonight here in good ole lansing...anyone that's from michigan is familiar with that crappy white stuff. i like to watch it when i am snuggled indoors...but when i am walking, driving, or digging my car out of the snow...I HATE IT.

i feel much better. i left work early yesterday to go home and sleep...and it felt good...then i took some dayquil before i went to bed to make sure i could breathe while i slept, and it worked :) so i got better sleep...and woke up feeling 50% better...bailey even slept next to me all night...what a cutie...now for some coffee, and work begins...

doh! i didn't even write about my sister's birthday...it was really fun! i felt bad though, because i made her go to the bar, but by the time we got back, her friends had left! i got pretty drunk...i barely remember walking down to the bar...but it was still a good time...a lot of people showed up...jackie came out to dinner with us...scott b(however you spell his last name)arshevitz showed up later...and sarah stock and jackie borders...i talked to sarah and got mary's number, so hopefully i will get to talk with her sometime soon... danielle wasn't even hung over the next day...wish i could have said the same :) but now she's 21 and can hit the bars with me...how fun! :)

last night was pretty fun! laura, keith, and i went out to dinner at chi-chi's, and then went to buddies bar for beer...laura treated me to dinner for fixing her computer, and then the beers were just to be nice...man, did i appreciate that! i realized that i missed hanging out with them...so hopefully i will make time to spend more time with those two... :) tonight i get to go over and help alex install his cable modem, and then who knows...i want to go see lord of the rings...but everyone else has already seen it...laura said she wouldn't mind going twice...so we'll see :) anyway, it's friday and i'm glad :)

yay! i got pictures of colleen and her baby!! she's due in june, but check out the photo album to the right...i added a "colleen" album, and the pictures are there...she is so adorable! :) i am so excited for her and mike! :) They are naming it Molly if it's a girl and Liam if it's a boy, so now it's name is Molliam :) pretty fun...

sleepy...need more energy...i did a bunch of running around last night...first i waited for dave to come and pick up a cd...then i drove over to my sister's to pick up a check, realized i had forgotten the bathing suit she had wanted me to drop by, so i promised her i would stop by again. then i went to laura's to install her cd burner...that took forever, and i didn't get done until 11 over there...then i had to drive back home, pick up the suit, stop by to pick up food for my sister, and then drive back to her house...i then talked to dave for a little while, since he needed a serial number for the cd that i had just lent him...so i didn't leave my sister's til close to midnight...then i played a little on my computer at home...and wound up staying up way too late...oops. :)

big day today...i got my own car insurance. that was the last of the things my parents pay for..so now i am completely independant. well, i still may get loans from time to time...but all the bills come to me now...school, car, rent, bills...everything payable by me. *sigh* growing up is expensive! :)

my car is done!!! a big thank you to laura for driving me to work last friday, and to danielle for driving not once, but twice back to east lansing from detroit to get me for the holidays...and for carting me around for the past couple of days. you guys rock :) and thank you to my parents for giving me a loan to pay the $500 for the car. man, i owe a lot of people :) i'm just happy to have a car again...

and yet another day goes by without my car. bleh. looks like now they found out i have done more damage to my car to the rear tire, and so they halted work on everything until the insurance people verify the damage. for christ's sake, why the hell didn't they check the back tire to begin with? if i told them i hit the curb, would it make sense to check all the tires? it's been a week and a half without a car, and no end in sight. I HATE CAMPUS FORD. i am complaining to ford. this is ridiculous. i would expect it from a ma-pa shop, but not from a dealership. grrr...

new year's was fun. i went to my sister's and partied til about 1:30...then i wandered on home and passed out...all good times...then new year's day i borrowed my sister's car (yes, mine is still not fixed) jackie comes home on sunday and school starts monday. phew. this break flew by. danielle's 21st birthday is in two weeks, and she is having a huge party...anyone that reads this is invited...email me for the address and times :)
