soo sleepy... i had to get coffee for the first time in about a month and a half... lately something has woken me up every night... last night i was getting rained on and had to jump out of bed at 4am to shut my window... so that interruption makes a big difference. but it's FRIDAY! and that means I can sleep in tomorrow, and waste the day away :) temple club tonight... that place rocks. mmm... meatballs :)

well, seeing as we got dumped on this afternoon by some rain, our game was cancelled. this makes 3 out of 4 games that have been rained out so far. good lord, you'd think we live in seattle :) but it gives me a chance to get crap done that i've been putting off... temple club tomorrow!! and it's PAY DAY!! :)

for those of you that have inquired about when i am going to update my page next... meaning the layout: whenever i feel like it. this is the first design that i have really truly liked, so i'm hesitant to give it up. i keep changing my mind on the new one... so when i finally decide on one... i'll change it. at least i still update frequently. so quit complaining. on a lighter note, our second softball game is tonight at 6. we're gonna kick some ass! we even had a practice on tuesday... so we should be ready! :) no wine night for me tonight though... i'm broke as a joke...

so i saw my advisor... and i am really going to be done in december! i got admitted to TC... with an engineering cognate :) she wouldn't waive tc 100 though, even though i've had all of the higher level classes already. so instead of 8 credits, i'll have 11. doh. but they are all easy classes. all of them are either online, or about applications online :) and it means i will be done!!! my schedule will be jam packed for 4 months this fall... but after those 4 months... it'll be back to easy street. and i really am going to make a million copies of my diploma and paste it everywhere. want a copy? :)

i'm thinking of joining a weight loss plan. not something as crazy as body for life... but something that works with me. a couple of neighbors of my parents swear by weight watchers' points plan... but that crap is expensive. last night we had softball practice... it was fun, especially going out to bww's afterwards. mmmm... beer... :) tonight is class again... my last savate class. monday starts the actual muay thai. everyone says that one is more aerobic/cardio than savate. i'm in trouble :)

pretty fun... this weekend i had some long talks with my mom... it was good... then i washed my car so that it looks brand new :) always good :) i also got to spend some time with a friend that i hadn't spent time with in a while... just he and i anyway... and i missed it :) so this weekend was all in all... good.

whew... i feel a lot better after getting to sleep in... it's sad when 10:30 feels like sleeping really late :) well, digital cable comes today between 1 and 3, and then i'm off to detroit. i'll be back sometime monday... hopefully the cats won't get too lonely. no big plans for memorial day. i needed a day off :)

well, we lost our softball game, but the wine night after made up for it plenty! i haven't had such a good time in a long time! it was so fun! i played catcher for the whole four innings that we played, and my thighs are gonna kill me tomorrow... but i can't wait for this thursdays game... did i say how much fun i had? :)

more good news! after all the crap i went through with my cable... i finally called and we are getting digital cable, for less than what i was paying before! they are running some special, and now i am going to get all the digital channels for only $30/month! that's 8 dollars less than expanded basic, which is what i had before. crazy. i'm excited cause now i get to watch tech tv... :) i'm a dork, i know... but it's such a good channel...

awww yeah. i feel productive today. not only did i receive a grade (finally: a 3.0!) for my incomplete, but i made an appointment with my advisor for wednesday, and planned out my schedule for the fall. i'm taking 3 classes... 10 credits. unfortuneately, they are all night classes. they cancelled the online class that i was going to take... so that means i may not be able to continue the muay thai classes once fall comes. but we'll see. it depends on what their class schedule is like. so 10 credits, and then i'll be DONE. isn't that nuts? i am going to make like 8 copies of my degree and post it everywhere. :) now i just have the summer to work and learn java... i'm feelin good.

just finished watching celebrity boxing. joanie (chyna) rocks. good stuff :) class was ok... got hit in the head a couple more times, only it wasn't as hard this week... have to learn how to defend myself better... i have a headache now though, so i'm gonna have to lie down. hopefully we'll win our game tomorrow... should be interesting :)

didn't make it to class last night.. but i do have it tonight... so i'll be sore tomorrow... just in time for our first (finally) softball game :) today is mary's birthday... so happy birthday to mary! 24 really isn't old... i swear :) i can't believe how many of my friends have birthdays from april-may... that's birthday number 4... anyway, i don't have any big plans for memorial day weekend... i don't have to work on monday, so that's always good when you get a day off... except when you're not paid on salary! i don't get paid for monday's vacation. doesn't that suck? oh well... just 3 more months and i'll be salary again... i hope...

so i've decided. decided to stop feeling so damn sorry for myself and actually get my act together. goal #1: graduate. i am sick of feeling like a failure at school... to be finally done after dragging through the past couple of years would feel incredibly good. goal #2: find a job i actually wake up in the morning and want to go to. which means: finding a job in chicago. which brings me to goal #3: moving to chicago. i still want to, even if it's by myself. within the next couple of years, these are my goals. i've talked about them long enough...it's time for me to just do it. so i'm going to stop moping and just do it. as a friend would say... "Look Out!" :)

i'm so tired. i haven't been sleeping well lately... sunday night i got woken up by someone alerting my phone at 2:30 in the morning. then last night i had a nightmare about my tounge ring... and that it made my teeth either fall out or become completely hollow... so i looked up what it meant if you dream about your teeth... Dreams of tooth loss often occur when a compromise is made (even for good reasons) which undermines the self in an ongoing way. The very "you" of you becomes eroded... very interesting. you can read the whole analysis. basically, i feel like i am comprimising myself and i don't realize it. i think hanging around crt folk triggered it... *sigh* i just need some good sleep...

whew. i finally finished all of my work for class. thank goodness. now once i receive a grade, i can meet with my advisor and plan on graduation. i've had enough vacation from school, and it's about time i finished my degree. tonight i have to skip out on my savate class...i am meeting with people from crt to say bye to larry, instead of tomorrow night. so i may go to a muay thai class tomorrow night instead...i just hope i don't get killed :)

it's corinne's birthday... i didn't forget :) happy 23rd, corinne! today is also my half birthday. in exactly 6 months, i will be 24. sometimes it sounds old, and sometimes it doesn't. i am definitely starting to not look forward to birthdays... i wish i could just stop right there. i'm going to be turning 24 forever :)

well, my shoulder stopped hurting, and my plants have sprung back to life! that makes me pretty happy... jackie and i did a ton of walking around yesterday... but it was fun. i attempted to find a class to take on saturdays at fitnessusa... but of course they suck and their last class is at 10:45. on a saturday! good lord, i am not sacrificing one of the only days i get to sleep in. what happened to afternoon work outs? anyway, i downloaded new software for the webcam... it works a hell of a lot better than chillcam, but when you try to put text on the image, it only lets you put one line... instead of a block of text... but photoshop will take care of that... otherwise, check out conquercam. pretty interesting...

i have a shitload of stuff to do today, and what am i doing? being a bum. i'm going to get down to the art festival today before it starts raining...i got a ring for myself there about five years ago... i still haven't lost it :) i got it because that summer was the first time i lived by myself in an apartment... where i paid the rent, the bills, and everything. so i got something to mark the occasion... this year i'm gonna have to go by myself... plus i have a million other things to do... get a new cable cord, buy cat litter, clean my room... bleh. boring crap. at least i got to sleep in today :)

my work is crazy. how many people have loudspeakers throughout the building for announcements? "attention jnl employees..." crazy. i felt like i was at kmart or about to get out of school...back in the day (high school) we used to have to say the "glory be" at the end of every day, led by our student council president over the loudspeaker...i still remember the damn thing..."for the friends and benefactors who have so generously contributed to the good of ladywood high school, glory be to the father and to the son and to the holy spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. " ahhhh!!!!!! time to go home...

dammit. softball was rained out again... so no wine night for me... which i guess was a good thing... i was so freakin tired... i was out by like 10:30 last night... tonight is another temple club... marc and tricia said they would make it this time, so that should be fun... this weekend i don't have too much planned... it's the east lansing art festival... so i will head down to that... but it's supposed to snow this weekend so i might not be down there too long... damn michigan weather...

verdict on star wars: i liked it :) i'm still debating whether or not i liked it better than the first...i think i do...it had a lot more allusions to episodes 4-6, so it was pretty entertaining...if you know the previous trilogy, you will get a ton of hints throughout...anyway, i won't spoil it...i liked it. i am now completely exhausted though...plus my shoulder still hurts and i have a softball game tonight at 6...hopefully the wine night afterwards will take away that pain :)

ouch. not only did i get hit in the face multiple times in class tonight because i suck so bad, but my left shoulder is killing me... i don't know what i did to it. i guess that'll teach me to fight correctly... or else i'll be in pain. it's frustrating when i feel like i don't know what i'm doing... on a lighter note, i may get to take on some extra work from my old job... maybe... nothing is decided yet... i would love it, cause i miss working there... but it all depends... i also got invited out to the bar on tuesday to give the vp of crt a farewell... it's his last day, and even though i don't work there anymore, becky invited me. so that was nice of her to think of me. tuesday is my free day, so i'll probably go on down there... tomorrow is my first softball game, since the last one got rained out... hopefully my stupid ass shoulder will stop hurting... at least it's my left one and not the right... i throw with my right :) oh, and star wars at midnight!

well tonight's star wars! i got pip to take the last ticket, so the four of us are heading out there between 11 and 11:30. we went to art's bar last night, and had some goooood pizza and a huuuuuge beer :) that of course made me take a nap once i got home...i was wiped out. but i'm all ready for tonight :)

found one person to take the tickets...so me, marc, and my sister are going tomorrow night...still have one more ticket for anyone that wants to go. for the past two mornings, and a couple times last week, i have woken up with an earache in my left ear. it freakin hurts, but it goes away by the afternoon...dr. jackie, what is wrong with my ear?

i'm on the lookout for some star wars tickets... there is a midnight showing on wed night nearby... so after work i'm going to drive on up there and see if i can't get a couple... hopefully they won't be sold out... i went three years ago to the episode 1 premiere at a midnight showing... and i want to carry on the tradition...let me know before 5 anyone that wants to come along :)

mother's day was a hit :) i went flower shopping with my mom, and brought home some of my own...let's see if i can keep these ones alive...my other plants aren't doing too well...i repotted one of them to see if that might help...it had lost some dirt in the move from my office to home...they used to be ok when i had them on my desk at work...but since i brought them home, they are looking pretty grim...i don't think they get enough light...anyway, tomorrow is another class and we'll see how i sore i am tuesday :) i can't wait....

had a good relaxing evening last night...went to the temple club...listened to a good jazz band...then on my way home picked up some beer and hung out with jackie...i'm on my way home to detroit today, to celebrate mother's day with my grandparents, and then tomorrow with my parents. should be a good laid back weekend :) a couple friends are testing in their muay thai class today for their level one...i'm sure they'll do fine, but it's supposed to be one of the hardest ones, as far as physical endurance goes. so i'm sure they'll both be wiped out, but pass without a problem...congrats, guys!

i am getting frustrated at my new job. i didn't realize who my immediate "supervisor" was going to be...and i don't like it. but i feel like i have to kiss ass basically until august, when i will be a "real" employee instead of a retarded intern. *sigh* but then i don't know if things will get better...i think i might start looking for a better opportunity in august...grrr...is it saturday yet?

last night was a fun class...it was only me and another guy ben...everyone else decided to ditch class...so i learned all the savate kicks and man, i need balance!! all those years of ballet went right down the tubes...i sucked! but it was fun learning them...tonight is gonna be fun, too, if it stops raining...it's our first softball game! i get to play first base or catcher...whichever they need...so that will be a good time...plus after the game the whole team gets half off of wine night at our sponsor's place: gus's watershed (a bar)...so look out! hopefully i can contain myself and i won't get too sloshed :)

my calves are killing me. jump roping for 4 minutes straight when you have no calf muscles will do that to you. :) i bought tom waits' two new cd's today...i'm still absorbing them...so far so good :) they're titled "blood money" and "alice"...anyway, tomorrow is another class...plus a new restaurant opened up in east lansing on the main strip..."cosi"...gonna try it at lunch tomorrow...mmmm...

back from savate...this class wasn't as cardio intense as wed...he said he was going to take it a little easier since it was monday...so we stretched more, and my partner and i worked on the techniques more than the power of the kicks and punches. so i don't think i will be too sore tomorrow...although we did do four minutes straight of jump roping...that brought my heart rate up....for sure :) it's been a fun class...i am really, really glad there is a girl there that is my height...even though she is in high school, she is super nice and it is fun to have someone to spar with that's the same size as me :) plus i don't have to worry about her kicking me or punching me really hard in the face :) anyway, i'm still diggin the class...wed, here i come! :)

well, after a very uneventful friday night (after the temple club, i came home and fell asleep at 9:30...i was exhausted) i am heading to detroit to go to a funeral. laura's grandpa passed away last week...so you can send her some good wishes by emailing her. then i have to come back and do some work for school...i am determined to finish as soon as possible, so that i don't have it hanging over my head any longer. anyway, i hope everyone is having a good weekend...i don't want to work again on monday...*sigh*...we'll see how next week goes..

whew! that class really did kick my ass...but in a good way. it was a huge stress reliever...and pretty fun :) i can't wait to go back again on monday...imagine me with my hands wrapped wearing boxing gloves...they had me doing punches for the full hour, so as to catch up with everyone else...holy shit my arms are going to hurt tomorrow...but i can't wait to go again...i need to remember to bring water next time...i was dying of thirst...but oh man is this ever going to whip me into shape... :)
