just got back from the high divide show at mac's... it was awesome! definitely the best i've ever heard them play :) can't wait to see them again, that's for sure. in other happenings, our last softball game is thursday... gonna be a fun night that night! i'm hoping i'll have something to celebrate this friday... otherwise, it will have to wait til next week... just cross your fingers and hope for good news...

i saw austin power's this weekend! it was so great! i loved the references to west side story and singing in the rain... i think this one rivals the first two movies... same type of humor... mike meyers is the greatest. :) i have quite a busy week ahead of me... an interview today, an interview and a meeting tomorrow, a meeting thursday, and in between, i have a site to work on. not mine... another one i am doing to help someone out. plus, high divide is playing tomorrow night at macs... this weekend i also might go with my roommate up to her family's cottage on higgins lake. it will be nice to relax after a stressful week, that's for sure...

woohoo! noelle finally updated her site :) so check it out :) i had a bit of a run in with a bunch of wasps yesterday. they were dying all over the place in my room, and flying around my window... so we called maintenance, and the guy came over, looked at all the dead ones in my room, said "i'm going to go check it out outside" and then never came back. so we had to page the after hours maintenance men, and they came over, killed the nest outside my window, and now i'm wasp free :) don't ask me why the hell the other guy didn't do that... just to aggravate me, i think. it's still hot as hell in this apartment... gross. i hope fall comes quickly... it's my favorite season :)

god i suck. last night for our game, they put me at second base. i bet they were sorry they did that. it was definitely the worst game i've had all year. i caught two fly balls, though... got a couple of outs... but i needed to make up for all the stupid ass grounders that flew by me. oh well, next week is our last week, so regardless if we win (we lost both games yesterday... again) it will be a lot of fun. i plan on partying like a rockstar afterwards :) austin powers comes out tonight. i need to rustle up a crew to go see it with me. it looks hilarious... and i liked the first two... mike meyers is awesome. alright, time to go rest my sore body. i got slammed in my big toe yesterday with the ball... at least i stopped it, but man, i think i broke my toe... ouch.

man, i have been going crazy trying to keep everything straight lately. good thing i'm good at multitasking. from registering for classes, trying to find a professor to help me with an independent study, applying for financial aid and a student loan, applying for jobs, going on interviews, budgeting my money so i can pay bills every month, and then still trying to keep track of my social life (what little i have)... good god, it's driving me crazy. i just need to land a good job soon, so there isn't this uncertainty about how much i can afford over the next month. that would ease a lot of stress. good thing i have muay thai tonight! i can work off some of this built up anxiety :)

well, so far this week has been ok... i got to hang out with a friend last night... thanks again for the beers :) this weekend austin powers comes out... so i plan on going to see that... and then next week, high divide is playing at macs on tuesday night. should be a good show :) so nothing too exciting... but at least i have something to do...

last night was pretty fun... i went out to the bar with corinne and laura... it was a good ole time... this week, nothing adventurous is going on... i am watching my sister's cats for a couple days.. apparently they weren't getting along with my parent's cats... so now they are locked in my room for a little bit... 4 cats in a tiny apartment... i hope my allergies don't start going beserk..

so cedar point was fun. the biggest ride we rode on was the mine ride. so i didn't go on the new wicked twister... oh well, there's always another time :) our softball game got rained out though tonight... the next two games are our last... and they are both double headers. long nights of softball... i always have fun though :) this weekend corinne is coming to visit... should be a good time! we are going out to dinner and then hitting the bar... i haven't seen her in a couple months, so look out! ladies on the town... :)

so i hung out with laura and keith last night at reno's east... pretty fun time... tomorrow is cedar point and we are gonna fry! it's supposed to be so freakin hot... but that's what water rides are for! :) i am in some pain, though... my wisdom tooth is killing me. my dentist had said to watch out for it, because i don't really have room for it to come in. he's right. i want it out! it hurts... i think it's infected... or impacted... whatever you call it.. OUCH. i have an appointment thursday afternoon for him to tell me what's wrong with it. i hate the dentist's. when i was little, i once threw such a fit and screamed so loud, that the dentist had to come out into the waiting room and tell my mom "i swear, i'm not even touching her!" :) i rock. my mom was not amused, and we didn't go back there, because i embarrassed her so badly. oops. :) anyway, hopefully he'll just knock me out, take out the tooth, and i'll be done with it.. here's to wishful thinking...

tonight's class was fun, but hard... it was all girls and one 13 year old guy... so we did a lot of punching drills, to get our upper bodies in shape. man, did i need that! :) my instructor noticed that i had lost 10 lbs though... so that was nice :) wait til it's 20... then more people will start to notice, i think :) cedar point is wednesday... it's supposed to be like 90 degrees... hope i don't melt :)

whew! felt productive today! i finally went to sleep around 3am last night... then got up at 11am this morning.. and cleaned our apartment! it felt good to move around and straighten everything... i finally organized all my freakin bills that i have to pay... yuck. i need to find a new job soon... i'll let you know how the interview went when i hear back from siteobjects. :) i'm also heading home tonight to visit my parents... hang out at home.. always fun :)

we came so close to winning our softball game last night! we ended up losing by one point... oh well, there's always next game :) we only have 3 more.. 2 of which are double headers. i can't believe summer is almost over already... only about 5 weeks left until school starts. and then i'm really done!! i can't wait... tonight is temple club.. i actually get to go. i haven't been the past two weeks, but i've heard that it wasn't that busy... so i don't think i missed much :) no other big plans this weekend... just my dad's birthday on sunday... so i get to be a bum around my apartment... i get to sleep in! :)

so here is some really good news... i have an interview tomorrow! totally unexpected... siteObjects emailed me, and i get to meet with them tomorrow afternoon! wish me luck, cause i had really hoped to work at this place. it seems to be a lot like my old job... so i know i'll like it already :) plus it's in lansing, really close to my apartment! :) i am so excited, i just hope i do really well tomorrow... so now i have to go to bed to make sure i'm not tired for it...

so last night's class went ok. i ran into a woman from my old tap class, so that was funny. she's gonna start taking the muay thai class. i also got some semi-good news from a friend that emails me. turns out he might be getting a job with siteObjects... a company i had applied to back in march, but never heard back from. anyway, if he gets that job, there will be a new position opening up, which he would recommend me for! now that's good news! :) he also said that if he got the new job, he would let me know when they were hiring again... that place looked pretty sweet. so THANK YOU! :) this thursday we have a double header for our softball game. the crappy part is that our first game doesn't even start until 8:20pm. so i'm going to be playing softball forever... at least i know i'll sleep well! :)

well i had a really fun time at the reunion this weekend... it was a lot smaller turnout than previous years. plus it was the last year we will have it at the same house we've had it at for ever. so it was a little sad to know i'd never see the place i'd been to every year since i can remember. but things change, i guess. speaking of change, i am still on the lookout for a new job. the whole computer programmer aptitude battery has me shaken up, and i don't think i should look for any more programming jobs. so now i feel stuck. i don't know how i'm supposed to find a new job now, or even what to look for. a job i applied to a couple months ago has me scheduled to take the same freakin test tomorrow morning... so i can fail it all over again. it's depressing. but i guess i'll keep looking, and hopefully find something to tide me over until december, when i graduate. then i can afford to look around more, if nothing shows up until then. i think with a degree backing me, that might make job hunting a little easier. *sigh* life is so freakin hard. just to think, a year ago, i was on cloud nine. good job, *almost* done with school... no worries. and then BLAM... a year later and i'm looking for a new job for the second time and worrying about how i'm ever gonna pay off my student loans. i wish it was another year later, so i'd already know what happened. bleh... enough complaining.

so i didn't do anything special yesterday... didn't even get to see any fireworks. oh well, there's always next year :) went over to my friend ben's for a little while, had a good time :) so it was a good day. i just enjoyed being able to relax and have nothing to do. tomorrow is my family reunion, so i have to drive down there tonight... which means no temple club for me again! two weeks in a row! next week i'll be out of town again so i won't get to go then either.. but the week after that i don't have any plans.. so i'll be there for sure. :) i can't believe july is already here... good lord, summer goes by fast...

good class tonight... worked up a good sweat :) i also got my car back!!! it looks like a brand new car... they even fixed the spot where it looked like someone had keyed it. and they washed it and cleaned the inside and everything. tomorrow is the 4th of july.. no big plans... my friend ben invited me to a bbq at his house, so i'll probably stop over there... should be a good time :) then fireworks at meridian mall... maybe we can take the puppy that my roommate and i are watching. her sister got married last weekend, and they needed someone to watch their 8 week old puppy while they were on their honeymoon... raven is so cute! she is a black great dane... and adorable :) i'll have to take some pictures of her now, and then compare when she gets full grown! she's gonna be a horse :) alright, time to sweat myself off to bed..

my apartment is sweltering. we only have one fan, and it does jack shit for circulating air. i couldn't sleep very well last night because i was sweating my ass off. i know, pretty picture. :) i'm going tonight to get a couple more fans, cause it is too damn hot. gross... last night at class was rough... not so much for me getting beat up, but it was so hot, i had no energy what so ever... so i sucked big time. oh well... hopefully it will cool down a little by tomorrow... i hate hot summer. late spring and early fall are my favorite times of the year, especially in michigan. it's when you are sick of winter and the warm weather comes out and everything blooms, and it's when you are sick of summer and the leaves begin to change color... it's great. and my birthday is in fall... woohoo! :)
