upon finding people that i had known during college, i ran across ben pfaff's page. in his really interesting diary, i came across an entry that was odd... his picture is the poster for the "what % geek are you" quiz. not only that, but wil wheaton (of star trek fame) took the test here and got ben's picture. how odd would you feel if you went to someone's website and saw a picture of yourself?? pretty crazy...

whew... taking a break from cleaning the apartment... we partied a little bit last night with my roommate's cousins... it was pretty tame, but i still had a good time :) today i decided to actually be productive, and i'm cleaning/ studying/ doing laundry/ finishing up projects... that's my goal anyway. we'll see how much i actually get done though :)

man, this week has been wearing me out. so much to do, and no time to do it all. talk about stress. the cedar point trip we were planning is no longer in affect. we're all too busy or broke. well, most of us are. so that will give me more time this weekend to get all my stuff done. hooray for 3 day weekends! i always love to break up the week a little...

Good news! I resolved the 1-credit mishap... and it's a go for graduation. woohoo! Thank god, I was worried... now I get to be taking a class to learn about the art of making a demo... which is a good thing I need to know anyway for my resume... :)

so here's the good news and the bad news... the good news is i'm going back to crt for a while. starting tuesday. so i have a new job! woohoo! i can't wait. now for the bad news... my independent study isn't working out... and i am struggling to figure out what to do. they just informed me today that it might not be possible... *sigh* i'm trying everything i can think of to try and get it... i refuse to be one credit away from graduation! i'm going crazy. so everyone, cross your fingers... i REALLY need that freakin independent study. at least i had good news about the job though :)

first day of class was a good one! so far they have been pretty interesting... we'll see how it goes the rest of the semester. i know i'm going to be busy, that's for sure. in one class, we have to do a video, a radio spot, and a website that displays the first two. sounds fun :) tonight i have my other two classes... so i have to miss american idol. hopefully i can find a tape so my roommate can tape it for me. other than that, i am hoping to have a new job by the end of the week... i'll let you know more when i know... but for now, class is the main thing going on. i have to find a way to start working out now that i have to skip muay thai. otherwise, i'm gonna be super out of shape. abs of steel 2000? might have to bust that old video out :)

well, school starts tomorrow. am i ready? as ready as i'll ever be, i guess. i'm gonna be super busy... but hopefully i won't go crazy... today is a bbq with my softball team... and it's also keith's birthday. happy birthday keith! i am planning on meeting up with he and laura later on... but for now, i'm resting... i'll have no time for that tomorrow, that's for sure...

i have been having the most horrible nightmares lately. i wake up with a frantic feeling... very scared... and it doesn't subside for like 10 minutes. something obviously is bothering me to have my dreams be so anxious... but i don't know what it is... last night my dream was that i was being chased by a tiger that resembled the dog in the movie cujo. i kept hiding from room to room, and it kept surprising me, growling, trying to kill me... i even passed by a house that the tiger had broken into and a woman stumbled out, that had already been attacked by the tiger. most of the dream, i am in my basement of my parent's house, trying to hide from the tiger. very scary. any interpretations on that one?

so i had to buy books yesterday.... surprisingly, i only spent 28 dollars... a record low for book buying. granted i still need to buy a 60 dollar book for one of my classes... but that still brings the overall total to below 100... i didn't think that was possible. someone explain to me why our books for class are so damn expensive. not like we aren't paying enough for tuition to begin with... books should already be included for these prices. good god. school starts on monday. oh joy. there goes all my free time. i have to miss my muay thai class for the next couple of weeks for a seminar... i'm going to be super out of shape after that, that's for sure. hopefully i can find something else to do in the meantime :) but it's only for 3 weeks.. i think i can make it :) so much to do... so little time...

my friend adam is coming to visit tonight... that should be a good time... then saturday i'm coming home for a bit... maybe hang out with a couple friends from home... and then i get to wake up on sunday to help my sister pack up her belongings and move out to the oaks! kinda weird, seeing as how i lived there... what's even more weird is that her boyfriend moved into my ex-boyfriend's old dorm room. so now i'll get deja vu every time i step in there. creepy. anyway, so this weekend should be a good time...

yes. it's true. i watch american idol. and god help me, i love that show. i hate the hosts, and the retarded comments the judges give... but i love watching those people perform! love it! i'm there... every tues/wed... and i know all their names... ok, i'm starting to scare myself... but it's so great... :)

o.u.c.h. class was so tiring! i got such a good work out... but i could barely make it through! it was pretty hard... i'm gonna sleep good tonight, that's for sure. i missed it wed so i went tonight instead... glad i did... :) i'm gonna be whipped into shape in no time! here's an update on the whole weight loss deal.. i went shopping for pants because my old ones were getting to big (imagine that) and i had gone down two sizes! i couldn't believe it! i'm thrilled, and i can't wait until i go down even more... glad i finally found something that works :)

moveable type looks awesome. With all the weirdness with Blogger... I think I may have to switch. It would take an evening to get everything set up... but it would be cool. My only concern is that you have to install moveable type on your server. Since I don't own the server that my sites are on, it makes it a little difficult if I need to switch hosts in the future. Blogger is centralized, so it would keep everything no matter where I go... decisions, decisions...

whew... i was in a complete bad mood before heading off to class... but it just kicked my butt so now i feel a whole lot better :) that class rocks... i am so glad i started taking it back in may. i'm going to miss it when i start classes here in september. i have to miss a bunch since all my classes are at night. speaking of which, class starts two weeks from today. yikes! better get prepared... i am so happy that i am finally going to be done... you have no idea :)

i think i figured out what the heck the problem was with netmeeting.. my camera driver wasn't updated since i installed xp... so it should be good to go now :) netmeeting is really fun, when you can see the other person talking... definitely want to do that again soon.. thanks vinnie! :)

well... the week is over. friday is here and i'm glad. i wish i could still be on vacation though... can't get enough of that... but on to other stories... a ton of people are moving this weekend and next... laura is moving home, my sister is moving into her apartment, nick is moving home... i feel kinda sad. but not too sad, because with everyone moving around, it gives me more places to go visit. :) then i won't have to be such a hermit anymore :) football season is almost here which means: tailgating!! this semester should be an interesting one, especially since i am finishing up school. i'm serious about making copies of my diploma.. i swear, everyone in my family is getting a copy :) my roommate keeps telling me to put it off a semester (jokingly) so that i can walk in graduation with her, when she graduates in may. now that would be ridiculous, especially since i walked with her brother last summer. so december it is... i'm having a party when it actually happens, i decided. everyone's invited. it's gonna be great :) this weekend should be fun.. i'm helping my sister move her stuff around... and then sunday i get to see colleen and mike's new kid... i'm bringing my camera, that's for sure! busy weekend... but next week i have no plans... lots of time to myself i guess :)

do you believe in fate? how about love at first site? destiny? are destiny and fate the same thing? i often wonder this when i think about dating. (inspired by dave's post) i wonder if soulmates really exist... wouldn't it be nice if they did? when people sigh and say "i guess it wasn't meant to be"... does that imply that everything is either "meant" or "not meant" to be? i wonder... if i am "meant" to be with someone... when they hell are they going to show up? :)

whew... finally made it back from vacation... what was intended to be a one night stay at my roommate's family's cottage on higgins lake turned out to be a four day stay :) i had so much fun, i didn't want to come back home! but now it's back to the same ole same ole... but i've got a nice all over burn to show my sun days :) school starts here in about two and a half weeks.. i hope i'm ready, now that i've had a vacation! at least i did one fun thing this summer :)

so yeah, we lost our softball game. but it was close! it turns out we have one last make up game next week... so one more chance to redeem ourselves :) i took today off of work so that i could get the stuff done that i had been putting off forever... then i get to go up to higgins lake with my roommate. relaxation! :) i can't wait...

i'm glad it's thursday. only one more day til friday :) tonight is our last softball game... i hope to god we can win at least one of the double header games... we can't go the entire season without one win! we came so close twice (within one point) of winning... so cross your fingers... last night's class was pretty good... i can feel myself getting a little stronger... i no longer feel like i am going to die by the end of class... still kicks my ass and i am still out of shape... but i'm improving :)
