like, totally! i just saw "valley girl" for the first time... like, how come no one ever told me about this totally tubular movie before? for sure! i loved it... i definitely need to add that one to my collection... nicholas cage is HOT in that movie... and i've always had a thing for the guy that is a little "different" :) how can you not smile throughout that whole movie? so, so good... reminded me of john cusack in "say anything"... just a feel good type of movie...

and in conclusion for this week, i think i aced my test i took on wednesday, and i think we did really well recording our commercial for our class project. class was fun, and i got to buy a smaller shirt (a medium instead of a large) yesterday for muay thai. that felt good :) i'm off to get a new pair of pants tonight from old navy. apparently they are having some sort of big sale right now. not like i have the money, but i can afford a pair of pants or two :) especially when they are on sale. i'm getting tired of wearing the same pair every day. laundry sucks when you have to do it every week. In other news, october and november are going to be busy and fun. my roommate's 21st birthday is in two weeks, and i took work off the day after so we can celebrate :) high divide is playing at paradise in a battle of the bands next weekend, and then various other places throughout the month. they even have a gig on my birthday... but i don't think i'm going to be there for that one. other than that, nothing new to report. busy as always... but life's good for now :)

so yes, i have a new phone. for those of you who didn't get the intial email about it, my nextel died, and i am now a sprint pcs customer. my phone is pretty cool... i like it better than my old one so far (i've only had it a day)... and i even adjusted my form on my site to send all messages to my new phone. so you can still fill out the form under "page me" and i will get the message on my new phone. but beware, it costs me like 40 cents per message, compared to 10 cents with nextel. so don't go nuts :) i haven't gotten the wireless web to work yet, so i don't know how that is yet... i'll let you know when i find out :)

bleh... i have an exam today in one of my classes... and i have to record a radio spot for our group project. we are selling the "ButterMaster 2000" for those of us too uncoordinated or too busy in the morning to butter our own bread. :) should be pretty fun. I'll post it on here once I get it back from our ta... we also have to make a video commercial for it later on in the semester, and then post it online... so i'll be sure to link to that once we're finished... should be quality entertainment :) oh, and happy birthday to andrew yesterday... i need to make a trip to chicago here sometime to visit him... haven't seen him in a long time... and haven't been to chicago in over a year... hmmm... road trip! :)

at the festival yesterday, i had my palm read... now that was interesting... :) some things were sort of accurate... some not very... apparently i have a strong sense of intuition... and that i should listen to it... that i am going through a significant life change right now, but that i won't really realize my goals and life plan until i'm about 45. i also was told that i would do well in a career that has to do with human services... like helping people or animals. oops. i laughed when she said that and told her what i do now... she told me i'm in the wrong career, but if it pays the bills, stick with it :) she also told me that i like my independence and freedom... that i more often that not like to be by myself... she also looked and said i will have 1-2 children (one of the lines was pretty faint)... all in all, it was very interesting. the things she said about what i'm good at and the kids... those two were the most accurate... i enjoy what i do, but you can ask any of my friends and i bet not a one would have picked me to be a web developer. not in a million years. which doesn't mean exactly that i shouldn't be doing it... it was just interesting that she said that just by looking at my palms. makes ya wonder.... :)

this weekend was a good one :) i went home yesterday to visit my mom's booth at a craft fair... she does stamping and sells the cards she makes. that was a good time... then today i went to the renaissance festival with laura.. and we had a blast! i haven't been in a couple of years... but we went to the 'feast' where it's an interactive show... i knew a couple of people that were the actors in the show, so that made it really entertaining... my old director from shows i did in high school was one of them... hilarious. we ate a seven course meal plus alcohol... for free! which was good, because it was freezing outside, so the wine and beer warmed us up :) good stuff. so now i am wiped out, and i am looking forward to the week :) no big plans this weekend... i think i'll need to catch up on some homework that i didn't do this weekend...

whoa. not only am i super freakin sore from tuesday's class.. but tonight was a killer. thought i was gonna pass out. but at least i made it :) i feel 100% better now that i have sat for a while. water always helps, too :) no class on fridays, thank god. just work, and it's gonna be a good one tomorrow. i've been super busy all week.. well, since i started work there, actually. which is awesome, cause i HATE being bored at work. hate it. in lighter news, someone's birthday is saturday... and then my roommate's 21st is in october, and my 24th is in november. look out, i'm getting old! i really want to go out this year to celebrate my birthday though... last year i just celebrated with a couple of friends in my apartment. nothing special... it was a weekday. but this year i plan on calling all my long lost friends the weekend before and planning a little something. maybe dancing... i miss going dancing... it was so fun :) but we'll see. so happy birthday who ever you are.

so i'm not crazy. at least not totally. i thought i had read somewhere that users would soon be able to keep their cell phone number even if they switched service. then i didn't hear anything more about it. turns out they extended the deadline to Nov 2003. i like my phone number, and all my friends know it. but i don't like my service. nextel isn't horrible, but i definitely have problems with it. and not just with their service. their phones are way too expensive... and i am in need of a new one soon. my current one is dying slowly. so which ever comes first: nextel gets cool phones and better service or i can keep my number... looks like i'm stuck.

i feel like an idiot. i am so blind. am i the only one who has relationships where i think everything is going well, and then about a year later things go bad and i find out that during the time i thought things were at their best, the other person was really "shopping the competition"? this has happened in the past couple of relationships i've had. am i just a sucker? or is it normal? i feel like an idiot because of it, and blind as a bat. how else does crap like that keep happening to me? oh well, i feel sorry for the next guy i date, that's for sure. unless i can build up the trust... my faith in the guys i date is dwindling... so here's a tip. if you are in a relationship with someone... make sure you are both on the same page as far as how serious you are. then there won't be any confusion when it comes to seeing other people. had i done that, i think i wouldn't have been so swept up in the "relationship" that didn't really exist. then i wouldn't feel so ridiculous a year later, looking back, and seeing that it was only i that was really serious. *sigh* communication is key... for sure.

class was fun tonight... got a really good ab workout... :) work's been busy, and so has school... i'm still pretty booked mon-thurs til 9pm or so... only a couple more months of craziness... we'll hope work lasts out that long. otherwise, nothing really new to report. we got tickets to go see les miserables at the wharton center in october... and i plan on getting tickets to 42nd street and bring in da noise bring in da funk... especially the noise/funk show... i've been really wanting to see that for a long time. it's about the history of tap dancing through one of my favorite dancers, savion glover. he is amazing. if any of you saw the 80's movie 'tap' with gregory hines, he was the little kid who could tap dance like no other. i can't wait to see it :) front row baby... well, ok maybe not front row, but i wish :)

man, that food was awesome. so, so good. and what would normally have been a 70 dollar tab was free. woohoo! but i'd go back again and pay full price (minus the appetizer and dessert). the food is that good :) now it's time to get some more crap done though... it never ends...

well last night was pretty fun... hung out with some friends til about 3am... and now i get to go eat free food at the new Italian restaurant that my roommate started waitressing at... mmm... good news on the weight loss front too... i've made it to 25 lbs! :) i'm about 36% on the way to my goal... at least i know i'm headed in the right direction :) i also get to start up muay thai again this week. i've missed it :) so far this week is looking better :)

i can't wait for saturday. must sleep now. i had a disheartening day... actually, the past two weeks have been pretty rough... and today just... i don't know... maybe it's the friday the 13th junk. or that i'm just overly tired. either way, no place looks better than my bed right now. so off i go...

tired. so tired. on average, i think i've gotten about 3-4 hours of sleep each night this week. so much to do, so little time. saturday is my day of sleep, i decided. oh how i wish it were saturday. and yes, it is 2am and i'm just getting home. next week should be better... much better :)

so a year ago, i drive into work as usual... sit down at my desk... when a coworker comes over and tells me about a plane that crashed into an nyc building. not believing him at first... he is then joined by two other coworkers who chime in with how they heard the story. being without a tv, i try multiple websites, but the internet is so bogged down i can't find anything. finally i settle on msnbc.com, and watch as the events of 9/11 unfold. i then called everyone i knew to tell them to turn on the tv. i woke my sister out of a dead sleep. since no one in the office could get any work done, we were told to go home and come back the next day... i spent the day with a friend, and we watched the towers fall and people run amidst the chaos. it was frightening... watching everyone's disbelief about what had just happened. heroes were made, and lives were lost. i remember.

well this weekend was pretty fun... i hung out with vince most of the weekend... and it sucks that most of my friends are gone. we were trying to think of people to call while he was out here.. and all of them have moved away! so i need to work on finding more friends... that's for sure. in the meantime, i have been really busy... this is my last week for my seminar though, and then i get to start up muay thai again. i can't wait. i'm going to one of the self defense seminars there today... i need the workout :) that, and it's probably good that i learn how to defend myself :) anyway, this week is gonna be another busy one... friday is looking pretty far away...

i'm taking a really interesting one credit seminar right now... it's on the life at a startup company... i have learned more about how crt functions in the past two weeks of this class, than i have for the three years i worked there. go figure. :) but the class ends next week. c'est la vie. but for next class we have to identify 5 personal heroes, and why they are our heroes. i'm stumped. i never thought about having a hero before. so any ideas about some would be appreciated...

whew... i have been the epitomy of busy. class, work, outside jobs, bleh... i got four hours of sleep last night.. and i'm looking forward to the 7 i'm getting tonight... but it's gonna make this semester fly by, that's for sure :) at least i'm not bored!

i'm so happy. being back at crt is great... i didn't realize how good i had it... even though i have a ton of stuff to do, it's good to know i'm helping everyone out :) plus it's stuff i like to do... can't get better than that :)
