so i'm trying to decide on a good costume to wear tomorrow. nothing like the day before to plan. :) i think last year i celebrated halloween on a weekend, like a smart person. that way i could party down and not worry about work the next day. oh well. we'll see how it goes...

whew! got done with a presentation tonight for class.. two classes down, three more to go :) only about 7 weeks of school left... thank god. i have been so stressed lately.. if i ever thought i was busy before, i was an idiot :) work is good, school is good... nothing to complain about lately... which is a good thing...

here's an update to the computer question i asked. it was sort of funny, because i got a lot of mixed responses. some of you said "no way! don't do it" and others said "go ahead, it won't do a thing"... so he did it, and voila... it worked. just had to reinstall windows, but everything else is working fine :) so now you all know... :)

woohoo... went shopping last night with my roommate... got 2 shirts to wear to work for under $20 :) that was fun... today i took my cat to the vet for her yearly check-up... only to find out she has a heart murmur. i started to get nervous... i think i watch too much animal planet. emergency vets is an awesome show, but too many people bring their animals in for something that seems harmless, only to walk out of there with only their collar. so this friday i have to take her back in for chest xrays to see if she has an enlarged heart. poor cat. bailey is doing fine though. as sassy and cute as ever. what i would do without these animals, i don't know :) the guys i date better like cats... or else it's doomed from the start :)

well, if you notice any weirdness on the postings... apparently blogger was hacked last night... so who knows what may happen. i am also sort of pissed because i lost a ring that i've had for 6 years... it wasn't that the ring was expensive... just symbolic... and i'm pissed i lost it last night. oh well. no big plans this weekend... a couple of friends are coming to town. so i'll make plans with them... not too exciting though. last night class killed me. we worked with heavy bags all this week... and man, my shoulders and arms are feelin it. but it's a good thing :) especially cause i have to miss class on tuesday to go to a group meeting. oh school... when will you be over??

ok, i'm tired of being upset. i beat up a lot of things last night in class, so now my ankles and shins have bruises on them... and it helped. so on with my life. i obviously can't use this to vent anymore... i shouldn't have in the first place. too many people i personally know read this, and don't understand. this site was meant for me... but i guess i'll have to stick to my journal for things like this that upset me. i'll focus on what is going on in my life, rather than who i'm mad at. sorry.

ok, maybe i need to clarify why i am so angry. i'm not angry because i feel like i was cheated on. rather, i feel misled. i did not deserve to be treated like that. i'm getting arguments that state that i should have known better, and that "what else did i expect" would happen, and to me, that's like saying a woman who dresses provactively deserves to be raped. now that is an extreme example, but just because i acted the way i did, to me, doesn't mean i deserved to be "misled". maybe i'm wrong. think what you want. i'm still pissed about it, and will continue to be so, until i find a way to work it out with myself. you can tell me all you want about how i shouldn't be angry, but it doesn't change how i feel. i feel used, unappreciated, and angry. i'm dealing with it...

yeah, this weekend sucked ass. i didn't do squat. i did manage to clean my room though. and i wound up watching a lot of movies. maybe it was a good thing. i haven't had a whole weekend to myself in a while :) it was nice to relax. this week i don't have anything too exciting going on. i'm trying to drag my roommate out to the temple club on wednesday, to go see high divide. we'll see how that goes. i'm also supposed to meet up with the person who asked for my number... but i don't think that's going anywhere. oh well. and life goes on...

i swear there is a virus going around regarding babies and engagements... so far, in the past month alone, i found out 2 people are having kids, and 2 people are engaged. plus another person is due next month, and two others have had kids in the past year. babies, everywhere! it wouldn't be so weird other than every single one of them is under 25. well, ok, except for my boss... he and his wife are expecting, and they aren't 25... but good god. i have a feeling it is going to be like this for the next couple of years. i looked up some statistics, and apparently the average age for women to get married is 27, and men 29. then the average age to have a kid is 28... so i'm definitely not rushing anything... everyone else needs to slow down i think! :)

well, despite the fact that i haven't lived at home for a while, i still had a cat for a long time... and today i found out my parents had to put him to sleep. he was my buddy while i was growing up, so i'm a little sad... i even taught him to sit :) so i'll miss him... but probably not as much as my mom does... when i left, he became her buddy... so today is a little sad... sucks that i had to be at work to find out...

lookout! someone actually asked for my number today. and do i know what to do? of course not. it's been a long time since someone actually asked me out. dating might not be a bad idea... but first dates are hell. he hangs out with a mutual friend, so what happens if things don't go well? will it be akward when all of us are together? *sigh* anyone have any advice out there? i got my roommate's opinion... and it was a good one... i'm still debating though...

thank god it's thursday. one day closer to friday. this week hasn't been super busy... but i feel like i definitely need this weekend to relax. i don't have any big plans... other than vegging out on the couch and maybe doing some homework :) i need to catch up on my reading for a class or two... but here's some good news... after the first round of midterms in all my classes... i now have a 4.0 in all of them :) if i can just maintain that, i'm in good shape for graduation this semester! even if i completely bombed the rest of the year, chances are good i could still get a 1.0 in all of them... meaning i can graduate no matter what. awww yeah. december 10 is my last day of finals... then i'm free :) until i decide to take more classes... you never know :)

class last night was fun :) my roommate came and watched me get my butt kicked... it was also funny because the guy i was sparring with asked "so you're in high school, right?" and i just laughed. i told him i would be 24 next month and he looked embarrassed. i said it happens all the time :) at least this time i graduated from junior high to high school :)

well this weekend was great :) the movie on friday, the bar on saturday, and the play on sunday... i need a couple of days to recuperate from this weekend :) i found out though, that the eminem performance was taped for MTV... so on Nov 6 at 10pm, it will air on "MTV Jams"... I'll be watching :) but this week gets back to work and school... i have a midterm today... and only about 7-8 weeks of school left. i can't believe it's already half over. not that i'm complaining... i'll be so glad when i don't have to run around like a crazy person...

oh my god last night was so fun! i had tickets to go see "8 mile" at the auditorium on campus... so vinnie and i went about an hour and a half early to stand in line.. there were over 1500 people there waiting... so we waited and waited... then right as they were about to let people in, everyone stampeded over to the door... in a huge mass... so then everyone tried to calm people down and let them in the door one by one... so once we were finally in, they seated us and told us eminem wasn't going to be showing up, but that they hoped we enjoyed the movie. it wasn't bad... probably would have saved it for home video, but i would have rented it. in parts of the movie it was pretty funny how they referred to dtown (detroit) and 3-1-3 (for the 313 area code for detroit)... and then once the movie ended, all of a sudden the screen lifted and eminem started performing! so we rushed the stage and got a free concert for about 45 minutes! it was awesome! i thought i was going to lose my voice i screamed so much. :) since it was a smaller crowd to, we wound up getting really close to the stage... about 5 or 6 people deep... it was sweet :) so then i was all wound up from the concert, so vinnie and i got slurpees and spiked them and walked around east lansing for another hour or so. it was great :)

aaahhhh.... finally done. i finished my 10 page paper, my 15 minute presentation, my midterm exam, and my group project analysis... and i can finally relax this weekend :) i have another midterm on monday... but at least i can relax saturday :) nothing else major due next week... i can get some sleep again...

so last night was really, really fun. i had a blast :) we went to beggars around 9:30 and then moved to rick's at 11:30... 4 glasses of wine and 2 jack and cokes later, i'm dancing around like a fool :) good times... tomorrow should be fun... the new movie "8 mile" is premiering on campus, and my sister got me two tickets to go... eminem is apparently supposed to appear. crazy. then sunday is les miserables. woohoo! fun week for me!

and i thought i was tired before. the queen of procrastination is my title. i stayed up really late last night writing a paper, and organizing a presentation. today i did the presentation, and i think i did ok, although, when i get nervous, i go extremely fast. so my partner said she was going to tell me to slow down.. that i was making the presentation to much like a magic show :) but it went ok, but now i have tonight to finish my paper and study for my midterm tomorrow. yikes! looks like another late one tonight. oh well... by tues night i will be done, so i'll be sleeping then... wish me luck!

well last night was a good time.. i wound up going to paradise for the high divide show. they rocked, as usual :) then i went with andrew and christie to hang out with some friends that andrew had not seen since he last came to town. i didn't end up getting home until 4am... long night for me :) but it was fun.. today i was supposed to get a bunch of crap done... but did i do it? of course not :) i'm still procrastinating, as i type this. i did clean the apartment though. at least i was semi productive. i've had a few requests to update the webcam picture more, so i'll try to do it more often... anywho, i am really looking forward to this week. my roommate's 21st is on wed and her family is coming up. i took thursday off of work, so it's gonna be a good time. then sunday we are going to see les miserables at the wharton center. i've never seen it so it should be good. after all my crap gets finished, i'll feel better. alright, off to procrastinate some more... :)

i feel like the little kid that cries over everything because they are tired and need a nap. why does no sleep make you edgy and emotional? or is it just me? tomorrow night, high divide is playing at paradise in a battle of the bands. my big dilemma right now is if i should go or not. everyone is busy tomorrow night, and i can't face a certain someone on my own. it would kill me. decisions, decisions. anyone free tomorrow want to go with me? in other news, andrew might be visiting this weekend... hopefully i will have time to chill with him for a bit... i still need to make a visit to chicago. OH! and before i forget... CONGRATULATIONS to marc finger... he and his girlfriend (i guess now his fiance) are engaged :) woohoo! their wedding isn't planned for a year and a half.. so there's some time to see them and say congrats... be sure that you do :)

exhausted. completely exhausted. i am so freakin tired i don't know what to do with myself. i've had about 8 hours of sleep for the past two days... and i'm still in lab right now. so much work... so little time... a 10 page paper, an exam, and a 15 minute presentation... all due by tuesday. whew.. did i say how glad i will be when school is done? :)

oh yeah... working late tonight. gotta get crap done... and what better time than when i'm motivated... :) class was good tonight... it felt good to get some running in and some crunches... we did 200 crunches tonight... this is the third week in a row that we did that on tuesday night. ouch. :) but hopefully this means i will have killer abs by the time summer rolls around! once classes are done in december, i plan on adding an aerobics class and some weight training on mon/wed... otherwise if i lose weight, i'll just be a flabby mess. gross. but that's a couple months away... in the meantime, i've been way too busy to think about anything other than school or work. i can't wait until i only have one of the two to concentrate on. and a diploma... the diploma would be nice... :)
