i got an email this morning from ebay saying that there have been numerous accounts of me logging in from different computers, using the wrong password, so they are requesting that i verify my account. not even thinking this morning, i clicked the link, and entered my ebay username and password. it then brought me to their credit card page, and was asking me to verify it... that's when it dawned on me that ebay wouldn't ask for that. so i look at the url and low and behold, it wasn't ebay! it was a random ip address... i had been tricked!! luckily i caught myself before sending them anything... but i had to go and change my ebay password because i had just "pretended" to log in and gave them total access to my ebay account! but all is well... and i changed it within two minutes, so no one would have been able to log in and get any info in that amount of time. not that you could get my c.c. number anyway... but still... changed my password just to be safe :) but BEWARE if you are an ebay user... i couldn't believe i fell for that...

so keep your attention here over the next week or so... i may have an announcement to make. i won't know for a bit, so i'm keeping it to myself, in case it doesn't pan out. but i'll be sure to post about it, if it does! in other news, jackie and craig may be coming to visit soon... still trying to work out when a good time would be. work is busy as usual... but i'm managing to keep up. might be planning a ladies night out on the 9th... that would be fun :) lots of stuff happening... lily is doing good... after talking with the surgeons, she is on a wait-and-see plan, to see how her development affects her infections... so pray for me that they just go away! it's a possibility... and i won't know for another 3 months or so... so until then, she's on a maintenance plan. other than that, she's doing great :) still her lovable self, now at 7 and a half months old. I'll take some updated photos of her... she's still growin like a weed :)

well after going running, mowing the lawn, taking lily for a walk, and then attempting to dance, my legs are ridiculously sore this morning. good thing i was taking it easy today, or i might really hurt myself. but it's nothing a little aleve can't handle ;) last night was interesting. not what i had planned... and i'm a little pissed off about it... but oh well... i think everything worked out ok. now i'm ready to settle down and get some more work done today... this week should be pretty busy at work, so the more i can get done today, the better. this upcoming weekend a guy from work is having a bbq, so i'll be heading over to his farm with lily in tow... i'm sure she's gonna love it. three other dogs and a horse... i can't wait to see her reaction to that ;) phew... it's almost october... i can't believe how time is flying!

man i'm glad this week is over. next week will be just as busy... but i'm still glad this one is done. i've actually got plans this weekend... might head over to our company's tailgate tomorrow, followed by a barbeque at a friend from work's house. lots of work to do still at home... but it won't be all bad. got invited again to go hear my neighbors play in their band tonight... i may actually go listen this time, since the theme is "dance party" at a local urbana bar. i'm all about the dance parties :)

i hate hotmail. not only is the website down constantly, not only do i get flooded with spam, but my messages to people get constantly delayed, both me sending and me receiving. it's awful. today was the last straw. i'm giving it up, and phasing it out. for those of you that use my carrie.cc email, ignore this rant. but for those of you that have saved my hotmail account, i'm now using yahoo. same username, just instead of @hotmail.com, switch it to @yahoo.com. screw hotmail. it sucks ass. don't ever use it. i don't care if it IS supported by outlook express. that program is so buggy, it's not worth it.
so i'm having a rough morning. i'm so tired, and i don't know why. i ate a good breakfast, got enough sleep... but i'm wiped out. it's affecting my mood... i have no tolerance or patience this morning. i just want to crawl back into bed to avoid fighting with everyone. *sigh* oh well... back to work...

fall is here, and i'm so happy. it's my favorite season by far... even though it means winter is coming soon, i love the slightly chilly weather, the pretty colors, the holidays, the tailgates, the bonfires... all good :) definitely my favorite :)

well i had a lot of fun with adam and becky. they came in on sunday afternoon... we went around town and ate out at olive garden... did some bowling and watched some television... it was great! i always enjoy catching up with them. ate a bit much over what i had planned... but i only have visitors every so often, so it was well worth it :) i'm back on schedule today, so i'm trying not to stress about it. i AM craving m&m's like crazy though. really craving them. i thought the dairy queen blizzard last night would help... but i think it made it worse. *sigh* i'm about to go running, so hopefully that will help... i also need to wake up... or it might be an early night tonight. which wouldn't necessarily be bad... i'm just wiped out from a weekend of sims and visitors :)

thanks to the suggestion from nick to update my bios... voila... my video card now is running beautifully. as is the sims game! whoo... that game is great. i could play it all night. :) but now it's time to get ready for adam and becky to visit... one last clean through the house... mow the yard this morning before they arrive around 1-ish... and it'll be a good time! i got frustrated with the video situation earlier... and wound up eating almost an entire bag of chips... so it's a good thing i have a 'high' day during my weight loss week... or else i'd be in trouble!! oh well, one day won't kill me...

ok. advice from anyone who knows what they are doing: i got an ati radeon 9800 pro yesterday. since i installed it, i've been having system crashes up the wazoo. first i know it was because i needed a more powerful power supply. so i now own a 400w power supply. i then upgraded my motherboard agp drivers... updated the xp drivers, the radeon drivers (catalyst 4.9)... made sure i am using directx 9c... and still... i go to play the sims, and i'm crashing. the system will just freeze. i got it to stop rebooting randomly with the updated radeon drivers... any other ideas on what the hell else i can try??? i thought it might also be overheating... my computer felt really hot... so i took off the case and have a huge fan pointed directly at it. it still gets a little warm... but i don't know how to really make sure that the overheating is the problem. i have a system with a 900mhz amd athlon, with 384mb of ram... i know, i know... i'm in need of an upgrade with both of those... but the 9800 should still work without a problem! fucking video card... i get just far enough into the sims that i'm super excited about playing it finally... and BLAM... system freezes and i have to do a hard boot. *sigh*... it's frustrating the hell out of me... reminds me why i am NOT in the hardware industry :) seriously... any advice??? please email me, or post to the message board... please... it's killing me...

oh boy oh boy oh boy... I GOT THE SIMS 2!!!! i have been waiting for this to come out to upgrade my video card... and low and behold... the one i wanted was on sale for 50 bucks off at best buy! so believing it was fate, i got both today... i'm so freakin excited. i'm a dork, i am well aware of this... but the original sims is the only computer game i've ever really gotten in to and excited about... and i am STOKED about the new sims 2! it looks awesome, and raychell at work raves about how fun it is! :) ok, i'm off to install my new card and then it's sim time!
update: dammit. my power supply is only a 250 watt... and for my new video card, i need at least a 300. and best buy is closed. you know where i'll be tomorrow ;)

oh man... i was in such a bad mood this morning. then came the oh so wonderful gift of caffeine. four cups of coffee and a starbucks frappacino light later (god i LOVE those stupid things), and i'm happy as a lark :) i'm looking forward to this weekend, even though it means i still have to clean like crazy to get rid of all the cat hair so poor becky won't die! it's friday... an hour of work left... *sigh*... i love the weekend!

man there are a lot of fun tools out there. it makes it easy for one to obsess over things :) so just so that there is one more thing keeping me accountable, i registered at fitday, and now have another log of my nutrition statistics. this site will track your calories eaten vs. burned, your goals, etc. it's pretty fun... and it's free! :) not that anyone cares what the hell i'm eating... but i do, so one more place to log it all is great by me...

damn today is not starting off well. i couldn't get my hair to look decent, so i wound up just throwing it in a ponytail. then on my way to work, i drink carbonated water... which promptly ended up spraying all over my car and my pants. *sigh* so now i'm sitting here with wet pants and a crappy ponytail. one more day, and it's the weekend...

holy. cow. that was awesome. am i still drooling? :) i felt so bad... i only had seven dollars in cash to tip the guy... i'd have given him a fifty if i had it... it was that good. now i know why people get those all the time... it totally relieved my stress! exercise helps... but man... i was ready to crawl into bed with a sappy smile after that massage! or propose marriage... aaaahhhh... he warned me about driving home careful... and i know why! i was so relaxed, my reaction times were at half percent :) i need to find out when he becomes a certified masseuse... and how much those puppies are... i'd love to be able to get one like once a month... or every other month or something. *sigh*... now back to work... and laundry... and cleaning...

massages rock. especially free ones. i'm getting a full hour massage today from a student. a friend of a friend at work's son is in need of some practice, so she asked around, and i signed up. another girl at work went and said he's awesome... so i'm ready! i really need it. i worked out today, and although i feel good, that should make me sleep like a baby. i've had a rough time trying to get to sleep before midnight lately... been averaging about 5 hours of sleep a night. don't know why... i've been cutting down on the caffeine and sugar lately... so who knows. stress could be the culprit... definitely have plenty of that! off to get a rub down! ;)

i don't know if this should worry me or not, but i scored way high on this quiz: do you have orthorexia? so apparently i have it... but i'm not so sure it's a terrible thing ;) her site was fun... she's more buff and toned than i want to be... my goal is to have muscle, but not show that much definition... not in my arms anyway. i don't want to look like i could snap someone in half... just get rid of the 'jiggle' ;)

well, lily passed her cgc last night... so supposedly she's a great, well behaved dog. yeah right. i don't think i deserved to pass out of that class... she could barely do any of the exercises. but oh well, she has her little medal, and her certificate. it's up to me to keep on training her with what i've learned so far... eventually she will grow out of her craziness and be a well behaved dog. but i've got at least a year before that happens. the vet still hasn't returned my phone call, so i have to check up again today with her, to determine what to do with the pup. she turns seven months this week... she's getting so old!

blech. i've been fighting a stupid cough for what feels like a week now. it got much worse after the bar on friday... and it seemed to feel better after i slept a little more on sunday. but it's back again this morning, and it hurts :( as if mondays weren't bad enough! but i'm workin with it. coffee seems to help... it soothed my rough throat. busy week at work this week... so much to do. even more to do outside of work... *sigh*... i really need to learn to just take one project on at a time... :)

i slept a lot this weekend. i don't know why i was so worn out... but i really needed it. i feel a lot better about this week, having rested up. and that's good, cause it's gonna be a busy one. lily has her final class tomorrow... so cross your fingers that she does well. then i'm taking a break from obediance classes... i need to get caught up on the stuff she is supposed to know already. she only half knows everything... so i think this season will be good for catching her (and me) up :) oh, and a big THANK YOU to those of you who are continuing to donate. every little bit helps... even if it's only five dollars... it's five more i didn't have!

well, it's been three years. i still remember, and it still scares the bejesus out of me. even more so, knowing that it's not over. this upcoming year should hopefully help... i just hope it doesn't get worse.
but rather than focus on the bad... i'll divert to normal life, and be thankful i still have it. last night was a ton of fun... even after getting hit on by a guy that was a complete ass. guys, if a girl isn't talking to you... don't tell her to stop being shy and get her hot ass over to you. a) it's not charming and b) chances are she's really not being shy... she just doesn't like you. and offering to be my "puppy" just made it worse. ridiculous. i didn't stay out too late... i was exhausted from the busy week... and starting the evening at 5:30 makes for an early night :) i woke up today and attempted to watch the state/central game... only to find northwestern playing on espn instead. *sigh* no msu football for me today. i'm sure i'll get my fill tomorrow though :) ok, i'm off to mow the lawn. i've been slacking, and didn't do it at all last week. it's a jungle out there! ;)

it's a happy friday... four day work weeks rock. i'd work 10 hour days just to have an extra day off on the weekend, for sure. wish i could find a job that let me do that. tonight is a happy hour after work... so i'll go home, feed lily and play with her for about a half hour... then go out for an hour or two. poor girl... i hate keeping her penned up all day... but it's not forever. nothing big going on this weekend, other than watching football. state plays tomorrow, and then it's football sunday time :) lawn needs to be mowed, and work needs to get done. i'm comin in to hk tomorrow, too, but it's only to work out in our weight room. it's the weekend! :)

man, caffeine is a good motivator. i finally settled down and completed a lot of the work i should have already been done with... and i'm still chugging along. i was at work til late last night, so i'm still drinking a ton of pop and coffee today, to get me through. i even decided to take a day off of working out (and work out on saturday instead)... i'm that busy. but the bills get paid, so i'm still here. hurricane ivan is really barrelling towards jamaica... i still can't get over the timing. one more month, and craig would be stuck down there. makes ya wonder :) no plans this weekend... although, there is a happy hour i'm going to tomorrow. finally get to celebrate raychell's promotion with the folks at work. woohoo for friday happy hours! wish we had more of them...

man it's freezing here at work. i've got a sweater wrapped around me, and my fingers are still numb. need the morning coffee to help warm me up! nothing crazy going on this week... we have our draft for the fantasy league i'm on at work, plus our monthly ecicfug meeting on thursday... but no plans this weekend! just more working. lily is doing great, i talk with the vet hopefully sometime today to determine the plan for her. i'm hoping to postpone surgery for a couple of months... maybe til after the 1st of the year... that'd give me some time to get some finances together, and see how her maturing helps things along. don't know what that means for her in the meantime though. keep your fingers crossed!

i had a great time last night! i played pool for an hour and a half, and wasn't too bad... it helped that no one else was a super shark either :) i wound up staying out until 2:30... man it's been a while since i did that... and i missed it! i had fun bar hopping from guido's, to barfly, to boltini's... where i had an extremely strong, but really good martini... mmm... for a girl who's usually strictly a beer drinker, the martini was a nice touch :) strong, but the sugar around the outside of the glass helped. i woke up feeling a little crappy today... but i swear it has to do with the smokey atmosphere... my lungs felt like they were on fire. so no mowing the lawn today... i have tomorrow off, so i can do it in the morning. yay for three day weekends :) still have a lot of work to do around the house... so at least i'm semi-productive...

watched the republican convention tonight. interesting. still undecided on who to vote for. dubya was entertaining though :) and what was with the protestors? i missed that whole thing. i'm sure i'll hear all about it tomorrow. i'm glad there was no major catastrophe... when he didn't come out right away after being announced, i half-thought something happened. but no, just wanted to make a dramatic entrance :) in light of the speech, michael forwarded me this website... the video featuring will ferrell is pretty funny :)
in other news, i got an unexpected compliment today. standing in the checkout line at meijers, the woman behind the register commented that i looked like i could be a model and asked if i was. wow. never heard that before! i just laughed and looked at her like she was nuts. besides obvious reasons of why that's ridiculous... who ever heard of a 5'1 model?? :) but it still made me blush... even after losing weight for over a year now, i'm still not used to people commenting on my appearance. still makes me pretty uncomfortable. the woman who has the office across from me commented yesterday that 'pretty soon my pants would be falling off of me'. i didn't quite know how to take that one, either. i guess it was good? either way, it threw me off, but it was nice to know someone thinks i am model-material. even if she is just a checkout clerk at meijer :)

this week is flyin by! it's already wednesday... and this weekend is labor day, so no work on monday! woohoo! got my new sticker for my license plate yesterday... nothing like waiting til the last day. doh. also thought it was time to change my address, since i've been in my new house for six months already. fall is coming... my favorite season of all time. i love the tailgates, the campfires, the trees changing color... cooler weather, but not too cold... it's gonna be great! i'm responsible for raking my yard, however... so that's gonna suck ass when the leaves actually fall. gonna need a rake, too... doh. oh well... i'm still looking forward to it :) i'm planning a night out this weekend with the girls from work again... hopefully this time we'll make it out past 9pm ;) gonna be a good time!
