What a great weekend. I finished our invitations, so once I buy the postage tonight, I'll have those off and out! My printer couldn't handle the heavy paper envelopes (kept jamming), so I wound up writing all the addresses out by hand. It's the proper thing to do anyway (etiquette-wise), but my handwriting isn't the prettiest in the world. Oh well, they're done! :) Now I can concentrate on getting our marriage license, getting the CD favors started, the programs... etc. Tons of other things to occupy my time. We hit the 12 week mark on Saturday... I can't believe we only have 12 more weeks to go! Only 2 and a half more weeks until our wedding shower. My mom invited everyone I've ever met and then some... 70 people at this shower! We conned Joe into agreeing to come help open presents... I don't think he has any idea how many ladies are coming. Hopefully he handles the attention well! :)

Saturday we went to Robyn and Nicole's for a wine party. We had a great time, and it was their last shindig together as roommates. I can't wait to see both of them at the wedding, and I hope things work out well with their "new" roommates :) Sunday we spent hanging around and relaxing at home. I finished stuffing invites and pretty much just enjoyed spending time with Joe. With our schedules, we don't really get to just be together... so it was really nice just watching movies :) This week is gearing up to be another busy one. Tonight I have my first wedding dress fitting, and then a meeting (the one that was postponed from last week). Then Wednesday I have a book club meeting... we read Mitch Albom's "The Five People You Meet in Heaven". It was a great book, and I look forward to meeting up with the ladies tonight!

I also got back to bootcamp this morning, and updated my fitness blog. I forgot to include that on my links at the top, so I'll have to figure out a good way to include it somewhere. It felt awesome to get back into that class, and I really hope it helps with the weight loss for the wedding :)

Anyway, so things are great at the moment. I can't wait to start getting RSVP's back, and to hear from people for the big day. Super Bowl is Sunday, and we're having people over... so I get to take a weekend break from wedding stuff to clean house and party :) It's getting closer!! We're almost under 80 days!!

Phew! What a busy week! Saturday we wound up travelling down to Woodbridge to visit with a friend for dinner, but I was petsitting in Arlington, so we had to be back pretty early. Sunday I spent petsitting and catching up on sleep, since I needed to get ready for the craziness this week. Monday we were supposed to have a neighborhood meeting, but it *finally* snowed on Sunday night (read: helacious ice storm) so they cancelled it until next Monday. Yesterday Katie came to town for work, so I got to eat dinner with her :) I really miss having her in DC, but I'm glad I at least got to see her one more time before the wedding! And then tonight I'm meeting up with some ladies to do a session of Let's Dish. I'm pretty excited... we get to put together 8 different meals, then place them in individual packages to prepare for ourselves at home later in the week. The menu sounds fantastic, so let's hope it tastes as good as it looks :) Plus it will give me a chance to meet some ladies my age in DC, and hopefully I will get to meet with them again soon! Plus work has been crazy busy, but I think I'm getting the hang of organizing my projects. It's been quite a learning curve, but it's getting there :)

This weekend we have plans to go to Robyn's wine party, and then at some point I need to get to the DMV to renew my registration before it expires in February. Fun times... but the next time I go will be to change my name :) Then next weekend it's SUPERBOWL time... Joe and I are having people over to our apartment to celebrate. We have yet to have most of our friends to our new place, so we figured that was as good a time as any :)

I also sat down with Joe and we figured out our financial situation, placed a budget, and we figured out what we need to save when. It was a long process, but I think it will help tremendously, both with saving for the wedding, and eventually for our house down payment in a few years. I have Quicken to help me... but that program is a BEAR to first learn. I need like a Quicken tutorial or something to get me started. Although, they do make it extremely easy by importing all my bank stuff automatically :) Once I have everything labeled under the right category, it should be a breeze :)

A new bootcamp session begins on Monday... I'm down 5 lbs total, so I'm pretty excited to start up the fitness routine again. Even if it is 25 degrees outside... I definitely need it :)

Woohoo! I finally got it finished. I've been putting this off forever, but here it is, finally a new layout :) I like it... kind of starts with my "new" family idea for after i'm married. I'm taking Joe's name, so no more french last name for me! At least people will be able to pronounce it now ;)

We met with our music director today and picked out the songs for our ceremony. I'm finishing up our invitations today so that I can mail them out over the next few weeks... tomorrow is the 3 month mark for the wedding!! We are at 12 weeks and counting... I can't believe it! We have our shower on the 18th with my bachelorette party the night before, then Joe's bachelor party on March 3rd in Atlantic City :) Then that's it... the wedding will be almost 6 weeks away! I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone, our honeymoon in the caribbean, and our humungous cruise ship :)

Good news on the weight loss front... I've lost 4.4 lbs in two weeks... so if I continue that trend, I'll be at my goal weight in PLENTY of time :) My first dress fitting is a week from monday.. so I have one more week to lose another 2 lbs and I'll be really happy!

No big plans for this weekend... just home projects, and cleaning! Fun, I know...

lily was being super cute today, so i decided to finally set up the youtube account, and took some short videos with my canon powershot :) so if you want to see lily's amazing tricks (ok, not really, but i was bored) click here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/hoochifyd

once it's done uploading, i'll embed it on here, but just thought i'd post the link to my user page :)

UPDATE: ok, so there is a problem with the way youtube uploads my videos... the audio is out of sync. it's actually pretty funny, because it looks like i have a psychic dog who does tricks before i even tell her to :) i have to figure out how to encode my video into a format that is youtube friendly... anyone have any suggestions? really all i'm doing right now is downloading the file off my camera (it's an .avi file) and uploading it as is to youtube. hmmm...

this is it! 100 days from today! after this, it's double digits baby!! the wedding is getting closer... and things are starting to get a little hectic. joe and i don't have the money we thought we would by now, so we're starting to panic a little. which i think is typical three months before anyone's wedding :) we're not in any danger... just tightening the belts a LOT more, and limiting our extra expenses. we'll get through it. my coordinator just emailed me the huge list of things to get done and written down. she's incredible. she is worth double what she is charging me... and the peace of mind i will have the day of because of her is priceless :) this weekend i'm finishing the invitations, so that i can line them up to go out in a few weeks. then once those are done, i can begin working on our wedding favors and ceremony programs. that and the bags for the out-of-town guests, seating cards, table numbers, and menu cards are all i have left. so i better get a move on! good thing this weekend is another three day weekend!

last weekend i got a lot done for the wedding, and i managed to get serious with sticking with weight watchers. so now i'm down 2lbs this week, and plan to continue that trend until our honeymoon :) i've been m.i.a. with bootcamp... my schedule was out of whack, and i couldn't manage to get out of bed in time to make it. so i'm starting fresh next week... 14 weeks before the wedding, and it should make a noticable difference in my arms :) nothing crazy, but it will help. now that the weather has gotten cold again (like it should be... not the 68 degree weather we had last weekend), it's really going to test my willpower. but looking my best for the wedding trumps everything :)

joe and i are also going to have a super bowl party on the 4th. we figured it was about time we had people over to our new place, especially now that we have room. so hopefully we can round up our friends for the big game. it's still a ways away, so we've got time to get the place in order by then. we've made huge improvements with organization. after taking down the christmas decorations and getting the futon upstairs, it is really starting to come together. our next big project is the back patio... but now that we're strapped for cash, we'll probably just lay the tiles as best we can, and wait until after the wedding to get sand, level it all, and plant any flowers. which is ok... not what we were hoping for, but oh well. it will look fine.

i'm really looking forward to coming to michigan for the wedding shower in february. we're having my bachelorette party the night before... woohoo! it's gonna be a great time :) we're driving in and staying for the 3 day weekend for president's day, and so that we can drive all our goods home. fun, fun... then it's REALLY going to start flying by with wedding stuff.

but i'm takin' it one weekend at a time... it's only half way through january... still have 3 months to go!
