There are decent people out there :) I went to training two weeks ago, and on one of the days, a guy in my class accidentally dumped his coffee on the table, and subsequently drowned my brand new phone. I had just upgraded my blackberry curve and had it for a week, when it suffered the fateful drowning. When it happened, everyone rushed to clean up the table mess while I rushed to the bathroom to dry out my phone. By the time I got back, class had started, so I didn't get a chance to talk to the guy about my phone. Since I just got it, I knew it was under warranty, so I decided to just let it go, and send it back for a replacement.

Well, today I got the news that water damage isn't covered under the warranty, and they were not replacing my phone. :( I knew it was an accident, but at the same time, I was now out a phone, and a replacement curve costs $200. So I emailed the guy and explained the situation... and he offered to pay me the $200!! I couldn't believe it! He could have totally ignored my email or just said he couldn't pay to replace it.. but he didn't!

SOOOO... guess what comes out on Friday for $199??? The new iPhone! I'm going to see if I qualify for the $199 version, but if I don't, at least I know I can still get the replacement curve that I originally had. Yay for awesome people!!! :)
