I'm a web programmer that lives and works in our nation's capitol, Washington, DC. Originally from the metro-Detroit area of Michigan,
I had a hard time finding jobs after I graduated from Michigan State. So when I found a job in Champaign, Illinois working for a publishing company, Human Kinetics,
I jumped at the chance. Not knowing anyone in the area, I managed to make a few friends and in my spare time trained my first dog, Lily. :) But as much as I loved my job,
the area wasn't ideal for a mid 20-something single girl :) So I decided to look towards the East Coast, and fell in love with the DC area.
I met up with my MSU friends, and that's when I met Joe. We became fast friends, and after six months, we eventually went on our first date to see the movie "Sideways".
Six months later, he asked me to move in with him... and four months after that, we were engaged :)

Joe and I now live on Capitol Hill, with our crazy labrador Lily, and our two cats, Bailey and Poof. Our wedding was on April 21, 2007, and you can find our professional photos online here. Shortly after our wedding, I began work in June '07 as a senior consultant working
for Booz Allen Hamilton. I love it, despite the long commute out to Herndon :) We are planning to start having kids sometime next year, so wish us luck (and start sending us diapers!) :) In my spare time, I am part of the Arlington Dog Group "ArlingtonDogs" as a
member of their Board. As part of their group, I help maintain a good relationship between dog owners in Arlington, Virginia and Arlington County Government.
Our focus is mainly for dog parks, but we have expanded to include all dog/owner related issues in Arlington. I also try to keep up with running and participate in a few races each year (5k and 10k). I completed a 10-mile race in Arlington (Army 10-miler) and a half marathon in Baltimore in 2005, but that's been my limit as far as distance goes. I also love photography, and hope to get a decent camera (a digital SLR) someday :)
